Regifting bestsellers

Last Christmas I received as gifts the bestsellers Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell and Kokology (Vol. 1) by Tadahiko Nagao and Isamu Saito. Because I already bought those books in the past I decided to have the gifts I received regifted through a stylized raffle. 26 entries were received for Outliers and 35 for Kokology. Raffle entries were obtained via Facebook and LinkedIn. Entrants and witnesses followed the online (via regular Facebook announcements) raffle with excitement.
Outliers winner is Virgo Flores. She is the daughter of my high school Physics/Trigo/Geometry teacher. I was the dimmest student under the brightest teacher. I, along with my high school clique, spent much of our free time in the Flores house playing Scrabble, listening to music, taking turns riding the duyan and a lot of other wholesome activities that rural high school students generally engage in. Virgo was in elementary then. The last time I saw her she was in her high school uniform, like a decade ago(?). She works at JP Morgan Chase at Bonifacio Global City. I like her for, among other things, answering my parting question with candor. Congratulations!
After 3 postponements, our schedules and locations finally aligned for the handover of the book Kokology that Alma Fausto won. I had the luck of meeting Alma when I was Communications and Program Manager of Schering, a pharmaceutical company. She graduated cum laude from UP Diliman-Asian Institute of Tourism, works at Bayer Healthcare, and mother to 4th-grader Fonzy. She quit smoking a year ago and recently lost 15 lbs from not eating rice. Congratulations on so many levels!
