Between my training gigs and other career pursuits: community involvement

3 photos below: in May 2011, our family was the hermana mayor of our hometown's (San Julian, Eastern Samar) annual, month-long Mayflower Festival. With a dance parade competition, weekend street parties, daily church activities, Santacruzan, plaza dinner and beauty contest, our townmates attested that it was the best Mayflower Festival they have experienced so far.
As an active member of Katlo, a gay organization in my hometown, I helped systematize its organizational development by giving free leadership trainings and by working for its institutionalization via structures and accreditation, among others.
Photo below was taken during our town fiesta on July 16, 2011 when I was asked to narrate for a cultural presentation.
